Email Study Tour Participants Each participating NP:J school is assigned an NP:J specific email address for use during the Tokyo and Kyoto portions of the study tour. Parents, friends and family: Please note, while NP:J participants are staying with their homestay families, they may not be able to access email because emailing is mostly conducted on cellphones in Japan so personal computers in the home are not as common nor has funding for technology in the schools been as ubiquitious as in the U.S. However, emails sent during the homestay portion of the tour can be read once participants gather together for the final leg of their trip. (If the host school or host family has convenient internet access, then it is possible that NP:J participants will be able to access their personal email accounts. Participants are also welcomed to visit internet cafes to view personal emails. Of course, spending time in an internet cafe detracts from time exploring Japan.) The email addresses are based on part of the participating group's school name or location of the school. Using your email program, send a message to your participant's email address. Be sure to make the title or subject of your email the name of the student or teacher to whom you are sending your email.
