subway station on the way to Tsukiji Fish Market.
The

Thomas
Edison also on their way to Tsukiji.
Wiley
Elementary Magnet School rounds the list of groups headed to Tsukiji.
Posing
in front of the flash frozen tuna, students find that some of the fish
are larger than themselves!
The
Eaton group witnesses auctions of these maguro. Nothing like the fish
in Lake Michigan!
The
Skyview group waits at Sangubashi Station near the Olympic Village. This
group is headed to Kawagoe, a town about an hour outside of Tokyo where
buildings from the Edo period are preserved yet still used.
Once
at Kawagoe, however, students stop to look are some arcade games.
While
much of Japan seems new to the students, the yellow "M" can
be seen everywhere. But none of these students were interested in this
fast food.
Here
the Skyview group poses behind a stone well filled with water to be used
to purify the hands of the people going to pray at the shrine just beyond
this well.
Here
is one structure, the bell tower, the remains from several hundred years
ago.

more shopping...

in "Kaminarimon," the gate to the main temple complex.
The
