The Skyview group waits at Sangubashi Station near the Olympic Village. This group is headed to Kawagoe, a town about an hour outside of Tokyo where buildings from the Edo period are preserved yet still used.

Once at Kawagoe, however, students stop to look are some arcade games.

While much of Japan seems new to the students, the yellow "M" can be seen everywhere. But none of these students were interested in this fast food.

Here the Skyview group poses behind a stone well filled with water to be used to purify the hands of the people going to pray at the shrine just beyond this well.

Here is one structure, the bell tower, the remains from several hundred years ago.

An El Cerrito student gets a lesson on which post slot is for postcards and letters. Will his parents receive something now that he knows how to mail something out? We haven't seen him buy any postcards yet...

On their way to Asakusa Temple, the El Cerrito group walks through Nakamise dori, a street lined with souvenier and sweet shops. Of course, shopping happens.
